Job Description
The successful candidate will assist the senior team members in investigating the role of MOAP-1 in aging, senescence and lipid metabolism.
The Research Assistant will be involved in wet lab experiments that require cell culture, different molecular biology techniques and mouse model. The Research Assistant will also do general laboratory maintenance, for example preventive maintenance of equipment, buffer preparation, ordering and ensuring consumables are well stocked.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Perform assigned tasks and support all aspects of the ongoing research projects.
• Assist with mice husbandry and animal experimentation/procedure.
• Maintain up to date records of inventories for chemical/ biological reagents.
• Assist when required with procurement.
• Assist with general upkeep of laboratory needs and maintain safety protocols.
• Contribute to the preparation of research manuscripts and reports
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.
