We are a boutique CPE registered school, offering classes tailored to both mainstream children and children facing developmental or academic challenges.


As a Classroom Teacher (Special Education) focusing on Inclusive Teaching, your main role involves developing and executing effective strategies tailored to address the diverse learning needs of our students. This includes creating engaging and accessible curriculum personalized to each student's needs, nurturing an inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues to support the overall growth of all students.


What You'll Do:

  • Conducting classroom teaching within an inclusive setting.
  • Providing targeted small group or individual teaching sessions for students facing learning difficulties.
  • Designing and executing lesson plans aligned with the provided syllabus, while meticulously tracking student progress and lesson effectiveness.
  • Developing Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) tailored to the specific needs of students.
  • Contributing to the review and enhancement of the school's curriculum alongside the curriculum team.
  • Maintaining open channels of communication with parents to ensure their involvement and understanding of their child's educational journey.
  • Cultivating a safe, joyful, and dynamic classroom atmosphere is conducive to fostering independence and a love for learning.


Requirement

  • A recognized bachelor’s degree in special education or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching experience in SPED setting / inclusive school setting.
  • Relevant working experience with students with challenges and learning difficulties.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge & skills to manage behavior through appropriate behavior intervention strategies.
  • Knowledge of various types of disabilities (e.g., ASD, GDD, CP, Down syndrome, HI, VI)
  • Knowledge, understanding and Writing of IEP (e.g., how to link the assessment to the development of an IEP) .
