Job Description
- Responsible for local and international buying of dietary supplements, natural remedies, personal care, organic/natural food & beverage and eco-friendly household cleaning products on behalf of the company.
- Analyze existing inventories, sales history, and forecasts to make recommendations on inventory and replenishment planning.
- Achieve profitability targets through stock control, pricing policy and promotional activities.
- Working closely with sales personnel to ensure supply meets demand.
- Working closely with buying team to monitor brands performance and drive market share for in-house brands.
- Identifying new products that are in demand by retail/wholesale/online customers.
- Liaise with HSA or SFA regarding product evaluation, testing, labelling, registration, and notification.
- Provide necessary information to freight forwarders for import permit declaration and customs clearance.
- Being well-informed about the benefits of health supplements, health foods, natural and organic personal care, and eco-friendly household cleaning products.
- Attending international/local trade show and consumer fairs.
- Undertake various relevant ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Food Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics/ Purchasing & Supply Management or equivalent.
- Required skill(s): Experience in health & cosmetic products registration with HSA would be an advantage.
- Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Nutrition/Health Supplements or equivalent.
- Analytical, meticulous, sensitive and high level of proficiency in MS Office Excel
- Good communications and inter-personal skills.
- Time management and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Possess initiative, strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
