Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant in the Department of Pharmacology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Our academic and research staff have outstanding research publication and grant funding track records in research areas such as cancer pharmacology, neuropharmacology, immunopharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and drug discovery and development. Pharmacology is the anchoring department for the Drug Discovery and Optimisation Platform (DDOP), Memory Aging Cognitive Centre (MACC) at NUHS, and the NUS Neuroscience Phenotyping Core (NPC). The Department also has a strong presence in University-level research institutes including the Cancer Science Institute (CSI), and the Life Sciences Institute (LSI) Neuroscience and Immunology Programs. Appointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis with an option to renew.
Purpose of the post
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Research Assistant. This role encompasses both educational research studies support as well as the need for administrative efficacy to deliver the planned programmes for Department Education Team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible to Educational Research
1. Prepare DSRB/IRB-related to education research projects
2. Manage budgets and grants of education-related projects.
3. Assist in conducting surveys and performing statistical analysis on data obtained from educational projects.
4. Supervise, guide, and train students involved in education projects
5. Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.
Any other duties assigned by Reporting Manager

Qualifications
The applicant should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in Science, Art or related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within an academic or health system setting.
- Be able to work independently and in a team, meticulous, possess excellent organizational & coordination skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Have knowledge of data analysis & digital communication tools or applications, e.g., SPSS;
- Knowledge of grant administration and grant finance are an added advantage.
