Job Summary

Leading Thailand corporate sales team and ensuring all regulations and compliance matters are compiled

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

· As a Business Leader Drive the Global Subsidiary business in ASEAN in a compliant and profitable manner by executing on the Corporate Sales Team Strategy

· Management of account coverage, budget and performance to ensure compliance and productivity.

· Involvement in GAM related activities as well as FAM where applicable

· Work closely with Trading, Research, Structuring, Credit, CIB, and Risk to drive collaboration and cross-sell with the Corporate space (IC, GC, CTA accounts)

· Maintain awareness and understanding of the Groups business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

· Manage, maintain and improve assigned existing accounts

· Drive and stimulate corporate marketing efforts

· Develop the Standard Chartered Bank brand.

Business

· Team Management including growth and development of team members, supervision of productivity and compliance.

· Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates

· Take on Governance and Compliance responsibilities by regularly contributing to COO team and being a member of any necessary committees

Processes

· Care and diligence in every aspect of client related process, from loading of limits to execution and settlement of trades.

· Active member of any formal bodies within the Bank which overseas client processes

· Bound by Code of Conduct of the Bank

People and Talent

· Reference all responsibilities related to people and talent matters

· Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate one and expectation from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.

· Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all supervision in place to mitigate risk.

· Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.

· Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives

Risk Management

· Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigation risk to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risk facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them.

· The ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.

· Reference all responsibilities Under Risk Management Framework - both execution and supervisory

Governance

· Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Groups arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary oversee changes in these areas.

· Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

· Responsible for delivering “effective governance” capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

· Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

· Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

· Lead the ASEAN Global Subsidiaries Team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.

· Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

· Local regulations and bodies

· Relationship managers, Structuring team, CFCC, Legal, and Operations

Other Responsibilities

· Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Asean Corporate Sales; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats)

Our Ideal Candidate

· 10+ years of experience in the financial services Sales sector with good understanding of fixed income and FX products

· Demonstrate strong knowledge of the global corporates market especially for the ASEAN region

· Deep local market knowledge & client buying behaviours

· Experience developing and executing product strategies

· Strong experience in leading both transformational and incremental change

· Market profile and credibility with clients

· Strong background of people focused leadership with excellent engagement and retention results

· A people manager with experience with managing diverse / multi-discipline teams in-country

· Highly organised and an exceptional communicator, able to work effectively in a matrix organisation

· Results oriented, transformational mindset, energetic and dynamic

· Degree from a recognised institution

· Professional and on the job training

· Relevant Dealing Licenses in the jurisdiction

· Membership in the markets association

· Certified Dealer
