About the Role


We are seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our allied health team. You will play a vital role in helping our older adult patients regain and maintain their independence in performing everyday activities.This role requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working with geriatric populations.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for geriatric patients, considering their physical,cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and self-care skills.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, cognitive retraining, adaptive equipment training, and home modifications.
  • Educate and train patients and their families on how to manage their conditions and promote self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and physiotherapists, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Document treatment progress and outcomes accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain clinical competency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the Singapore Occupational Therapy Board.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working with geriatric populations in a hospital or community setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in geriatric occupational therapy, including ADL assessment and intervention, cognitive rehabilitation, and fall prevention.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Culturally sensitive and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to healthcare documentation.
