Job Objectives
Perform shift duties based on assigned roster to ensure operational readiness and performance capability of Flight Simulation Training Devices in order to achieve annual reliability target of >99%
Job Responsibilities
- Personally accountable for safe, appropriate and timely actions when performing trouble-shooting interventions following device failures or instructors discrepancy report
- Accountable for performing the above without immediate supervision under certain circumstances
- Prepares training devices for customer operation following maintenance activities or between user sessions
- Ability to interact effectively with users to help determine root causes of failures and discrepancies
- Correctly perform AIRAC (Aeronautical Information Regulation and Control) database updates on all FSTD (Flight Simulation Training Devices)
- Promptly communicates to line management all matters for their attention
- Communicate effectively with Flight Operations to maintain their awareness of delays or program disruptions
- Ensure training devices operate at the correct level required by customer by performing timely configuration changes and software updates as directed
- Perform good level of written communication when reporting on technical work done
- Able to liaise effectively with Manufacturers, Suppliers and other 3rd Parties
- Complies with the Compliance Monitoring System at all times
- Able to perform tests and checks or Qualification Test Guide (QTGs) in pursuance of annual certification requirement
Job Requirements
- Higher Educational Qualification in Electronic or Aeronautical Engineering discipline
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Innovative, resourceful and logical
- Excellent command of IT and keeps abreast of technological advancements
- Team fit and effective communicator
- Customer oriented focus
- Able to perform shift work
- Previous experience with workshop practices basics e.g. soldering, drilling, fastening
