About the Role
The Technical Officer (SPH Radio) supports the SPH Radio Department in providing technical support on audio and radio broadcast equipment, ensuring the smooth daily operations of the Radio programs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitoring of Radio programs and performance of broadcast equipment, report hiccups immediately with urgency
- Assist and ensure smooth running of daily operation, report abnormalities promptly
- Provide support and troubleshoot for broadcast and IT equipment in the studio area
- Check and ensure daily logs are recorded accurately and timely, highlight abnormalities
- Carry out preventive & corrective maintenance on broadcast and IT equipment
- Assist the Broadcast Support Engineer with outdoor broadcast line check and audio monitoring
- Must react promptly to SOP activations for broadcasting from designated parties
Requirements
- ITE or Diploma, preferably in Electronics/Electrical Engineering/ Information Technology
- Experience working within an MCR, broadcast transmission systems, digital audio platforms and related technologies.
- Good knowledge of networking/audio systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, punctuality is a must
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and being a team player
- Willing to perform shift work
- Ability to work under pressure
- Candidates without relevant experience and are willing to work on shifts are also encouraged to apply as training will be provided
