Responsibilities
- Overseeing and directing construction project to completion stage
- Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinate and direct workers and subcontractors
- Select tools, materials, equipment and track inventory
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress and prepare internal and external reports
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Develop, coordinate and review on project design and construction risks;
- Work with Construction Manager and Design Manager to prepare a comprehensive risk register;
- Responsible to implement hazard identification and risk management methodology in carrying out the works safely;
- Support in planning the major detail construction methods, sequences and identifying/assessing the risk and hazard;
- Reviewing the performance of the construction works, including any hazard or risk that may arise.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Civil and Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity in the Construction industry
- Comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, construction sequencing and project schedule
- Well-experienced in LTA/PUB projects
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- A team player with good communication skills
- Meticulous and attentive to detailsMust be trained in hazard identification and risk management methodology
