We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trading Analyst to join a leading commodity trading company. The Analyst will play a crucial role in production of daily P&L reports, consolidation of all trade book reports and risk management
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the trading activity; highlight and report unusual activity.
- Manage on physical commodity and derivative deal entries ensure an accurate valuation within our ETRM
- Resolving queries from traders or other departments relating to P&L impacting topics
- Production of daily P&L reports and consolidation of all trade book reports
- Summary reporting (e.g. weekly, monthly) on key analytics
- Raising queries to traders when proposed booking changes or business practices are unclear
- Responsibility of the relationship with clearing brokers and clearing banks
- Support risk management (Market and Credit risk)
- Working with the Treasury team to ensure the impacts are expected and hedges are correct or executed when required (Calculate the impacts of IR and FX on P&L)
- Supporting Finance in month-end financial closing processes explaining any provision requirements for the business
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree in Finance with 3 years’ experience in middle office
- Working Experience in energy trading firm is a plus
- Proficient in Power BI / Tableau / Alteryx Python / Data Analytics
- Proficient in MS Office applications, ETRM and MTM
- Consistent detail while under pressure
- Dynamic, hardworking, meticulous and good interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
