Our Client:
Our client is one of the Japanese global leaders in the Engineering industry, specialising in M&E Construction projects. They are actively seeking for a Project Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join their team in Singapore.
The Responsibilities:
- Prepare proposal and budget estimates for new contracts / tenders.
- Assist in the Variation Orders (VO) for ongoing projects.
- Develop, review and monitor the compliance of the tender and contracts policies and guidelines, in line with the industry's best practice.
- Liaise and negotiate with clients, vendors, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants on project requirement.
- Work closely with QS / Tender team in preparation of tender submission.
- Work closely with the project teams in VOs verification
- Evaluate quotation, assess variation order (VO), escalation, abortive work, measure quantities / taking off and accounts finalization.
The Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering, preferably majoring in MEP trade or Mechanical
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field
- Strong interpersonal skills with prior cost estimation experience in a M&E construction environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to critically analyze issues and creatively identify solutions
- High level of initiative, independent, proactive and meticulous
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Willingness to work beyond official hours to meet tender tight timelines
- Well verse in Microsoft Excel
