We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team to safeguard the environmental and public health of Singapore. You will be part of the Vector Control and Operations Division responsible for planning and implementing vector-borne disease surveillance, prevention, and control programmes. An evidence-based, integrated vector management approach underpins the work that the Division does and requires close partnership and concerted efforts by multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders.
Your role is in the Suppression Operations, Contract Management and Audits branch and you will lead a team.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Conceptualise strategies and formulate/review operational policies and plans on vector control, including the use of Wolbachia suppression technology
- Manage contracts and ensure the contractors’ performance through close monitoring, engagement, and audits.
- Guide and oversee the implementation of enhancements and improvements to operations systems.
- Regularly review work processes in view of enhancing them to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Perform analysis of vector data to uncover insights and identify causes and contributors to undesirable situations.
- Oversee the smooth running of contracts including processing of certification of works done and payment.
- Carry out any other duties related to Vector Control.
Requirements:
- Experience in operations planning and/or enforcement, in a vector control related field, will be an advantage
- Enjoy thinking strategically, planning and applying analytical reasoning in the area of operations management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in analytical and programming tools (e.g., Qliksense, Python, R, or GIS) will be an advantage.
