A Retail Sales supervisor in the pet industry oversees the daily operations of a pet retail store, ensuring efficient and smooth functioning of the business. They lead a team and support the store's goals for sales, customer service, and profitability.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading, mentoring, and training staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
- Assisting customers, handling inquiries, and resolving issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Monitoring sales performance, overseeing inventory levels, and coordinating restocking to meet customer demand.
- Organizing product displays and promotions to attract customers and maximize sales.
- Overseeing cash registers and payment processes to ensure accuracy and prevent theft or errors.
- Ensuring the store is clean, organized, and safe for both customers and employees.
- Tracking employee performance and providing feedback to help team members grow and improve.
- Maintaining records of sales, expenses, and inventory, and providing reports to management as required.
- Adhering to store policies and industry regulations, including safety and health codes.
- Handling challenges such as customer complaints, staffing issues, and other unexpected events promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience preferably in a retail industry
- A good team-player with strong communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills and creative mindset;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English;
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint
- Able to commit 5 days or 6 days 12 hours shift
- Shift from 9.30am to 9.30pm, including weekends.
