The Head of Tech Business and Commercial Management will serve as as a crucial link between the tech organization, finance,HR and other relevant departments. The liaison will collaborate with tech leaders to develop and manage budgets for tech initiatives, including forecasting, monitoring and tracking budgets. The liaison will also oversee resource planning for the tech organization, including coordinating and managing hiring processes. They will work closely with the Tech COO, CFO and HR to ensure the smooth operation of the tech support functions. This includes but not limited any other commercial or resource planning related items.
Role and Responsibilities
Finance Management:
- Support the tech organization in coordination with annual budget planning and approval process, exceptional funding requests, track progress of funding requests etc.
- Liaise with Tech CFO to ensure compliance with wider organization's finance policies, monitor and tech organization's budget and utilization.
Resource Planning:
- Align with COO and other key stakeholders on strategic planning of talent acquisition, including workforce planning to implement HR changes as per the tech transformation roadmap.
- Support the end-to-end resourcing needs of the tech organization including consolidating total resourcing needs, support hiring process and liaising with counterparts in the HR department.
Talent Development:
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to support the development of internal upskilling programs and initiatives, track metrics and KPIs related to internal upskilling initiatives.
Stakeholder Management:
- Deliver updates to senior management on tech budget and resource planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Human Resource Management or a related field required.
- Over 10 years of experience working in business management with familiarity in technology related operations and covering:
- Tech Human resource planning management (capacity planning, resource allocation and learning and development) and
- Tech Financial planning (financial analysis and reporting, budget and forecasting, project financial management)
- Strong experience managing change in a tech environment with proven leadership and influence at a senior management level to align HR and finance strategies with business goals.
Mandatory skills
- Extensive financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Deep understanding of HR practices, especially talent acquisition and resource planning.
- Strategic and problem-solving capabilities to address organizational challenges.
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of trends in tech talent acquisition and upskilling strategies.
- Project management skills for overseeing HR and finance projects.
