Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee comprehensive security management for all facilities in Singapore and across the Asia Pacific region, focusing on risk minimization within supply chain services.
  • Develop security strategies, preventive measures, and systems to safeguard company and customer assets throughout the Asia Pacific region.
  • Evaluate risk management, control, and governance systems, identifying weaknesses for improvement.
  • Lead security initiatives; establish and enforce policies, processes, standards, and SOPs for various businesses in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Design and implement crisis management plans to mitigate operational and business impacts across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Direct and maintain investigations into loss, damage, and theft, implement corrective and preventive actions, and coordinate with external stakeholders to resolve security issues in warehousing, transport, freight, and cargo.
  • Manage talent and staff programs, including leading and coaching security managers in different countries in the Asia Pacific region to achieve KPIs and build high-performing security teams.
  • Maintain a loss prevention program with a damage containment plan, optimizing insurance coverage across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Stay informed about the security situation in respective countries and update senior management and corporate on significant developments and changes.
  • Establish a common framework for security compliance, measurement, and incident notification and escalation methodologies, fostering a security culture and mindset within operational groups across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Support new facilities and customer account implementations with site security, recommendations, and solutions related to warehousing and forwarding, including designing and installing security systems for warehouses and offices in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, collaborating globally to promote security as a competitive advantage for retaining existing and acquiring new accounts.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections in every facility in the Asia Pacific region to ensure strict compliance and address any irregularities or non-compliance issues.
  • Promote security awareness training and best practices for benchmarking and networking.
  • Provide key insights in various security councils and professional associations, including law enforcement and national agencies in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Act as the subject matter expert, providing direction, oversight, and compliance management for all regulatory security commitments specific to the respective countries of operation in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments and evaluations of company facilities, transit cargoes, and routes in the operational countries, ensuring compliance with internal security policies, contractual requirements, and government regulations across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Implement a system for tracking the maintenance and upgrading of security systems, including vendor and contractor management across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Lead the accreditation process for security certifications and compliance, including TAPA, STP Plus, and ISO28000.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the superior.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in security, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar roles within the 3PL/Logistics/Supply Chain industries, with at least 3-5 years of exposure in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Strong knowledge of security management and statutory regulations.
  • Expertise in developing business strategies and improving security management propositions, with technological proficiency to enhance security workforce through IT infrastructures.
  • Proven experience in leading security teams in various countries across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to write investigation and audit reports.
  • Strong capability in identifying and analyzing current and future security needs of an organization.
