Job Description
The Execution Engineer is involved in the entire ONE GUYANA FPSO scope including EPC management, local content, cross organizational interfaces, construction, systems completion, offshore HUC, and start-up ensuring a successful execution of Yellowtail Project meets prioritized objectives. The role assists the FPSO Project Engineer with management of activities of ONE GUYANA FPSO relating to strategic initiatives, capital efficiency processes, EMCAPs deliverables, execution enablement opportunities, FPSO delivery performance, application of best practices and lessons learned across ONE GUYANA, and other strategic and operational activities as directed. This position has a broad scope working on a very diverse range of deliverables spanning across all areas of the FPSO scope.
Role and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the FPSO Project Engineer, this role will:
Assist the team in managing elements of EMCAPs through:
- Ensuring the team is aware of upcoming deliverable dates and coordinates team and functional input
- Validating contractor deliverables are on track to support EMCAPS deliverable updates
- Coordinating any project reviews and project workshops
- Assist in the resolution of project review findings by expediting team members and leading stewardship meetings
- Supports the project issue management plan, FPSO O&Vs / Key Issues, and assists in stewardship of actions resolution
Provides support of cost, schedule, and controls deliverables in support of broad skills development
Supports execution planning for the Construction, Systems Completion, Offshore HUC, and Start-Up phase
- Monitors & influences execution planning, ensuring integration of Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities and participates in developing improvement plans to close gaps in performance/ de-risking of project delivery
- Works with Project Controls team to evaluate contractor’s execution plans. May perform benchmarking, collecting information from other venture projects, etc.
- Identify and analyze the risks, critical path, and key milestones with the EM site team, Contractors, and other stakeholders to improve project effectiveness
- Coordinate with project team on the development and stewardship of ONE GUYANA FPSO execution opportunities list
Be a Safety Champion by setting the example and caring for others, e.g., EM, Contractor, Subcontractor personnel
Participates in innovation through the development, identification, and deployment of improved technology solutions.
Contribute to other duties consistent with the role where required and/or requested by the FPSO Project Engineer.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- 5 years prior oil and gas industry experience preferred
- Experience working in client role on Upstream oil and gas projects
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to management / leadership
- Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
- Ability to travel internationally
