Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of hardware development projects, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, technicians, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and timely execution of project tasks.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient utilization and cost-effective project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed to keep projects on track.
- Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including R&D leadership, executive management, and other relevant parties.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous process improvements in project management methodologies, tools, and workflows.
- Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and best practices for future projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a project manager in hardware development projects, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong technical expertise in hardware design and development processes, including familiarity with CAD software, PCB design, prototyping, and testing methodologies.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage resources, and track progress using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify project risks and issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to hardware development (e.g., ISO 9001, IEC 60601) is desirable.
