1) Involved in the installation and configuration of software/system, training users, provide support to user during acceptance testing and assist in troubleshooting and debugging of issues faced, where applicable.
2) Perform Preventive and Corrective maintenance
3) Ensure Response Time and Defect Turn-around Time meet contractual KPI
4) Conduct root cause analysis & implement pro-active measures
5) Perform troubleshooting and fault rectification
6) Generate relevant administrative records and reports
7) Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work
8) Escalate unsolvable system problems and service request to the OEM/Vendor for technical support and reporting the escalation to the Group Lead
9) Perform standby duties if required
10) Requirements gathering, development, deployment for Change Proposal (CP)
11) Conduct regression testing, acceptance testing, documentation and training for CP
12) Other duties as required
Qualification
Diploma in IT or equivalent (Preferred for System Engineers)
Knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows)and server administration
- Basic knowledge on network and is interested in systems configuration and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in software engineering tools
- Experience or Knowledge in scripting, database (Preferred for System Engineers)
