Configuration Engineer - 12 Months Contract

About the Client:

Our client is a reputed IT Services Company

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans and procedures.
  • Manage configuration items and their relationships throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Define release strategies and deployment processes to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software releases.
  • Manage version control systems to track changes to system/software artifacts collaboration among development teams.
  • Facilitate change control processes to assess the impact of proposed changes and ensure proper approval and documentation.
  • Plan and control strategy on CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in release testing activities and provide support for troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in configuration management and software release management roles.
  • Exposure in Agile methodology.
  • Good Exposure in version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
  • Experience with scripting using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Certifications in configuration management (CMII) and release management ITIL) are a plus.
