Position Overview:
The Chief of Operations (COO) will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. The COO will work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to develop and implement business strategies and operations plans that align with the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
· Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company’s objectives and growth.
· Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to set and achieve company goals.
· Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and profitability.
Operational Management:
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficient and effective execution of processes.
· Manage and optimize supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Team Leadership:
· Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
· Set performance goals and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
· Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.
Financial Oversight:
· Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
· Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
· Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
Quality Assurance:
· Ensure high standards of quality control in all operational processes.
· Implement and maintain best practices in operational management.
· Address and resolve any operational issues promptly.
Technology and Innovation:
· Leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
· Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, incorporating relevant advancements into operations.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within related industries.
· Strong leadership and organizational skills.
· Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
· Proven experience in managing supply chains and distribution networks.
· Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management.
