Responsibilities:
- Timely assessment of credit application with appropriate analysis to support balanced/ sound credit decisions, prepare concise summary paper of the relevant credit application.
- Discussion and support business units from early stage and provide feasible solutions to challenging transactions.
- Monitoring Special Credit obligors and manage credit cost.
- Analyzing/Monitoring credit quality of portfolio (including any concentration risk and identifying Special Credit obligor) and reporting issues (actual or potential) in a timely manner.
- Keeping updated knowledge of credit policies and procedures, and supporting credit department/ front office staff to enhance their credit analytical skills in either study session, branch visit or on-the-job training.
- Working/ liaising with other departments including HO departments to enhance credit risk related management framework.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 years working experience in Credit Risk in Financial Institutions.
- Ability to review/ interpret financial statements and review the reasonability of business projections is key.
- Proficiency in Japanese is required as this role needs to prepare regular reports and to liaise with Head Office frequently.
- Team player with good listening and communication skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken).
- Keenness to learn.
