- Experienced IT Business Analyst (>10 years) with a strong track record of IT project delivery for Financial Accounting.
- Requirement Gathering: Hands on experience writing business requirements in the form of user stories, ability to transform functional requirements from Finance stakeholders to technical solutions for developers to work on.
- Solution Design: Work closely with the IT development team to design innovative solutions that meet business needs and align with architecture principles.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications to guide the development and implementation of IT solutions.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure that IT solutions meet quality standards and business requirements. Work closely with QA team to provide requirements for automated testing.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycles. Work closely with the Program Management team to ensure deadlines are adhered and issues escalated in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance or Accounting.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze and interpret data from various sources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies and tools such Azure DevOps and Jira is a plus
- Knowledge in physical and financial commodities trading for metals is of advantage but at least understanding the trade life cycle for: oil, ags, liquids, gas, or power
- Proven record of implementing systems like: Allegro, Aspect, Openlink, RightAngle or Triple Point (CXL)
- Solid understanding of interface design and mapping processes between systems
