As the (Lead) System Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT Systems. As an experienced Lead, Systems Engineer, you will continue to optimise systems performance to ensure its availability. The role will allow you to contribute to the overall success of Company.
Role and Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Lead the design and deployment of infrastructure solutions such as Windows Server OS, Active Directory, VMware, Backup and other services.
- Ensure the architecture aligns with business objectives and best practices.
- Extensive working knowledge of cloud technologies on AWS and Azure.
- Implement Security best practices on cloud solution.
- Implement backup and recovery solution.
Systems Enhancement and Maintenance
- Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and networking equipment.
- Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement monitoring tools and systems to proactively detect and resolve performance issues.
- Continuously optimize system performance and capacity.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical systems and data.
- Conduct regular testing of recovery procedures.
Troubleshooting and Resolution
- Oversee the assessment of risks to systems.
- Identify complex system issues to provide advisory to the stakeholders.
- Provide escalation support for issues presented by the user.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer systems, information technology or a related field.
- Preferably to have 10 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
- Possess certification in AWS Solution Architecture and Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect Expert will be advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of server administration, operating systems (Windows and Linux/Unix), virtualization technologies, and networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
