Job Description: PeopleSoft System Administrator

Position: PeopleSoft System Administrator
Location: Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore
Duration: 3 Years (36 months)
Start Date: August 2024 (estimated)

Introduction

Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) is seeking professional services for PeopleSoft System Administration. The contract will station one (1) personnel at NP, starting from August 2024, for a duration of 36 months. The commencement date may be adjusted if there are delays, keeping the total contract duration unchanged.

Scope of Services

The responsibilities of the PeopleSoft System Administrator include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PeopleSoft components such as WebLogic, Tuxedo, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), and middleware on Windows infrastructure.
  • System Upgrades: Perform PeopleSoft bundle patch and PeopleTools upgrades.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the PeopleSoft system for performance issues, resource utilization, and system health.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide support, bug fixes, and address vulnerability issues/fixes of existing systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PeopleSoft environment, including networks, software, hardware, and operating systems.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for PeopleSoft databases and applications.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update documentation related to the PeopleSoft environment, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with application developers to understand and address their requirements.
  • Scripting: Implement scripting for routine maintenance, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Reporting: Provide monthly work progress reports.

Requirements

Educational Qualification:

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or relevant certification courses.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in PeopleSoft Administration.
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL database and Azure Cloud is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge and experience in managing Windows operating systems.
  • Good knowledge in PowerShell scripting.

Skills:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Meticulous and organized.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    Positive work attitude.

Working Hours

  • Official Working Hours:Monday to Thursday: 8.30 am to 6.00 pm
    Friday: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • Extended Support Hours: May be required to provide support during extended hours at no additional cost. Compensation for overtime will be in the form of time off.
