Our client is a renowned chemical trading MNC. The company is focused on marketing, sales and operations, specifically on Methanol where the company is a leading Global marketer. The co is active in all major regions, covering Americas/Europe/Asia and handling 5 million metric tonnes of product with over US$2 billion turnover annually.
It seeks continuous growth in terms of quality management throughout all aspects of the business, contributing to a healthy growth in Methanol and Methanol downstream industries.
Job Description
- Reporting to Regional Product Manager (RPM)
- Responsibilities includes handling bulk shipments of Methanol. Liaising and coordinating with suppliers and customers as well as shipping agents and inspection companies
- Process and execute documents such as Letter of Credit, Sales and Purchase orders via ERP system, vessel nominations, LOI, calculate final sales price, calculation of demurrages and other shipping and operational documents
- Process tank in and tank out orders via ERP system
- Monitor loading/discharge operations and updating shipments status to the related personnel in a timely manner
- Monthly inventory closing via ERP system
- Sales Orders updating, filing, retrieve ICIS report
- Provide operational support to the firm, its HQ in Europe and other affiliate companies worldwide
- Assist RPM in commercial matters when needed
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree holder (in any Majors)
- Has at least 3 to 5 years of logistics & operational experience with some knowledge of Letters of Credit and/or shipping documents required
- Has experience with one or more of these areas: LC ,basic incoterm , BL , vessel shipment , tanker knowledge etc .
- Logistics or ops experience gained with commodity firms or shipping cos are relevant (exposure to chemical products is not required).
- Highly organized, self-motivated, outgoing, customer-oriented, work independently and able to work under pressure
- Responsible with good interpersonal, co-ordination skills
- Good command of spoken and written English. Ability to speak Mandarin (writing and reading Chinese not required) is also required as this person will be interacting actively with Chinese customers in Mandarin
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Good and positive attitude is key
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Navision is an added plus

- Able to do a hands-on role in a small MNC office set up
- Stable and enjoy a logistics and operations role/function
The co is based in town and offers WFH arrangement 2 days in a week.
