Overview
The Senior Executive/Executive of Community Relations (Partnership and Volunteer) is responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships and volunteer programmes for the organisation. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, designing impactful volunteer programmes, and fostering relationships that align with the organisation's mission and goals. This role works closely with the rest of the Community Relations (CR) Team in the areas of donor and volunteer partnerships and communications.
Job Description
Partnerships:
· Collaborate with all internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., corporates, schools, community) to organise fundraising and partnerships projects.
· Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with corporations, non-profits, educational institutions, and community organisations.
· Maintain and strengthen existing partnerships through regular communication and collaboration.
· Collaborate with the CR team to identify and leverage partnership opportunities for funding and resource support.
· Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts.
· Prepare and deliver presentations on the work of Epworth to various audiences, including potential partners, volunteers and community groups.
Volunteer Management:
· Design, implement, and oversee volunteer programmes that align with the organisation's mission and address community needs.
· Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the organisation's activities.
· Maintain accurate records of partnership/volunteer information and programme activities.
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnership and volunteer programmes.
· Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.
· Develop volunteer retention strategies and recognise volunteer contributions through appreciation events and recognition programmes.
Be involved in projects as directed by Manager (Community Relations) and/or the Executive Director.
Requirements
· Bachelor in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
· Experience in community relations, partnership, or volunteer management is advantageous.
· Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and common digital communication tools.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
· Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
· Excellent attention to detail, organisation and project management skills.
· Team player, self-motivated, proactive, adaptable and positive work attitude.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
