About Our Client
This role reports to the Global Head of Logistics and will be managing a small team. The successful candidate will shape and execute logistics strategies, policies and best practices to enhance performance and drive cost optimization across the Asia Pacific region.
Job Description
- Lead and manage logistics operations, collaborating with stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
- Develop and implement logistics principles, policies, and processes.
- Optimize transport modes, routes, and frequencies for cost efficiency.
- Address logistics challenges while maintaining quality and budget requirements.
- Analyze logistics changes and report results; establish performance metrics.
- Support and drive global logistics initiatives with senior leadership.
- Identify and eliminate waste in the logistics process.
- Analyze data trends and provide logistics insights for cost improvements.
- Build and lead a cohesive, dynamic logistics team.
The Successful Applicant
- 10-15 years of logistics management experience in the chemical industry.
- Knowledge of commercial agreements and regional logistics management.
- Strategic, analytical and financial acumen with data analytics skills.
- Project management skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent people management, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with proven leadership abilities.
- Proactive, self-motivated and adaptable.
- Proficient in Data Analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP HANA, advanced MS Excel
