Job Description
As a Lead Data Architect, you are responsible for:
- Design the evolution of the current data platform.
- Build and document optimal data pipeline architecture and infrastructure.
- Define and champion data platform direction, framework, architecture, standards, and guidelines.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation.
- Create, manage, and document data pipelines, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Supervise data model and database design for operational and analytical systems.
- Lead and mentor teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Develop strategies to enhance team performance and productivity.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of data platforms.
- Oversee end-to-end data platform solutions to meet university needs.
- Integrate new technologies into the university's data infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance to solve complex challenges.Implement quality control and testing procedures.
- Ensure data platforms comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in end-to-end development of data lakes and data warehouses, preferably with Informatica, as well as extensive experience with Azure cloud, specifically Azure Fabric including Data Factory, Data Engineering, OneLake (Data Lake Storage), and Data Warehouse. Additionally, they should have robust data modeling and database design experience for both transactional and analytical systems, along with strong proficiency in MS SQL and Oracle, including querying, tuning large, complex data sets, and performance analysis.
