Job Purpose:

The Manager design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence. Managing the department, objective setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales engineers. The Manager is systematic and logical in work approaches and possesses strong technical writing, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Roles

1) Achieve Sales

  • Develop and drive short-term and long-term goals
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses report and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Perform a SWOT analysis on our products and our offer to the customer to develop strategies with principals
  • Monitor and identify business activities of major competitors, analyzing their results and identifying their strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on sales opportunities
  • Execute sales objectives, marketing plans, and strategies to achieve forecasts and annual sales targets.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Travels to customer sites to make sales and technical presentations of products to existing and potential customers in a bid to develop new business, resolve technical issues, and win orders.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.

2) Manage Risk and Business

  • Develop risk management plans and risk controls in alignment with the organization’s risk management framework
  • Analyze and consider the financial implications of various decisions and tasks
  • Analyze the solutions developed, and work accomplished to identify learning points for continuous improvement initiatives.

3) Manage People and Organisational function:

  • Be accountable for all sales quotations, customer proposals, hand-over projects to the project department.
  • Review sales plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quotations and handover procedures to the Project Department as part of Standardisation.
  • Drive team performance to achieve department goals.
  • Identify recruitment needs and areas for technical and business management training and development
  • Analyze viability to proposed continuous improvement/lesson learned initiatives and drive change management to achieve the goal for the first time right
  • Provide Sales Department Meeting of Minutes and another Ad-hoc report for Management Review
  • Provide onboarding training to newcomers and engineers when required and attend training provided as part of personal development.
