HR Business Partner (4 months contract - Maternity Cover)

Job Activities


HSE:

  • Coordinate and active participation in regular HSE activities and fire drills

Business Partnering:

  • Apply areas of HR expertise in the context of the business and local employment laws through dialogue/ advisory, needs assessment, solution recommendations
  • Partner closely with business leaders and people managers on key HR processes (e.g. performance management, engagement), support implementation of organizational change and transformation projects, where applicable
  • Keep abreast of new employment and/or Group regulations and formulate/update HR policies & practices in compensation and benefits, manpower planning, recruitment, performance management, career management and employee relations
  • Drive annual performance review/ completion rate, salary and bonus review campaigns
  • Lead and drive employee engagement survey completion rate/ initiatives/ activities
  • HR statistics and management reporting, submission and diagnostics for Group, Statutory reporting requirements and HR practices
  • Foster and promote diversity through gender, generation, cultural, national diversity in all HR processes

HR Operations/Administration:

  • Support in budgeting and various reporting process to provide accurate headcount, salary and benefits data for analysis purposes, including HRIS (HR4U) management, regular reviews and updates of organisation charts
  • Ensure HR operational excellence by delivering high-quality HR administration and day-to-day HR services

Local staff management:

  • Review and selection of benefits service providers jointly with other Singapore entities
  • Responsible for compensation and benefits (total reward & recognition practices) and ensure maintenance of a sound remuneration and benefits structure
  • Responsible for operational input and execution of monthly payroll processes and regular benefits administrations.
  • Preparation and approvals of job offers, employment agreements, integration, end of probation and termination of employment

Expatriate management:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with TESS Expat Mobility Team to ensure a seamless process during mobilisation, in-assignment and demobilisation for all expatriates employees.
  • Provide guidance and advisory, as per expatriation global rules, Expat local handbook and local regulations.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the entire recruitment process and provide solutions to attain recruitment objectives in an efficient manner
  • Administer job postings in the relevant job posting platforms and participate in interviews, coordinate the interview process and act as the point of contact to update the relevant parties to facilitate the recruitment process
  • Liaise with HQ, Talent Developers and local universities on the selection and hiring of local candidates, interns or VIE
  • Set up new and maintain search firms partnerships and universities for resourcing to build talent pool and pipeline for talent acquisition of competent, high potential candidates

Training and development:

  • Organise new employee induction sessions for all local, expatriate employees as well as external contractors
  • Coordinate with Total Learning Solutions (TLS) and TESS Training for employees’ development and training needs.

Internal communications and events:

  • Coordinate with HQ and divisional managers to launch HR-related campaigns
  • Propose and organise internal events
  • Provide support in ad-hoc HR initiatives/ projects and tasks as and when required
  • Participate in HR audit and liaison with internal and external auditors on HR matters

Data Protection:

  • Ensure compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) when developing and implementing policies and processes for handling personal data
  • Foster a data protection culture among employees and communicating personal data protection policies to stakeholders
  • Manage personal data protection-related queries and complaints
  • Alert management to any risks that might arise with regard to personal data; and
  • Liaise with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) on data protection matters, if necessary

Others:

  • Participate/provide support in any other assigned ad-hoc projects/roles


Job Requirements

  • Available to start and commit from August 2024 to mid-December 2024
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources (or related disciplines)
  • 5-8 years of relevant working experience in a similar position
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English
  • Good interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Autonomous, meticulous and good organization skills
