Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall accounting activities including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and reconciliation.
- Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliation and GL posting.
- Assist client engagement managers in managing the invoicing process.
- Track contract terms and conditions that have a direct financial impact (e.g., leave entitlement).
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing.
- Prepare monthly management reports and consolidation packages, providing commentaries on key variances.
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts.
- Oversee cashflow management to ensure the company’s financial stability.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Prepare annual financial statements.
- Review tax computations and manage the tax filing process.
- Handle quarterly GST reporting.
- Prepare and process payroll.
- Review and validate expenses.
- Review and validate timesheets from consultants for billing purposes.
- Manage the overall fixed assets process including maintaining the Fixed Assets register and assets tagging.
- Implement processes to monitor and communicate business risks and opportunities.
- Establish and periodically review strong accounting processes to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with various teams, providing guidance on finance-related matters.
- Offer budgetary and spending advice to teams to achieve financial and business goals.
- Identify ways to improve organizational financial efficiency, avoid overspending, and implement cost-cutting measures to boost business profits.
- Handle various ad-hoc projects and reporting as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
