Job Description: General Manager (Food and Beverage)


Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and implementing strategic plans for the F&B department in alignment with the overall goals of the organization.
  2. Overseeing all aspects of the F&B operations, including menu planning, food preparation, service standards, and inventory management.
  3. Managing and leading a team of F&B staff, including chefs, servers, and bartenders, to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
  4. Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of quality ingredients and products.
  5. Monitoring and analyzing F&B performance metrics, such as sales, costs, and profitability, and making recommendations for improvement.
  6. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and sanitary F&B environment.
  7. Developing and implementing training programs for F&B staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  8. Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and finance, to drive F&B revenue and profitability.
  9. Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience in F&B management, with a track record of success in a similar role.
  3. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused mindset.
  5. Knowledge of F&B trends, industry standards, and best practices.
  6. Proficiency in computer software, such as MS Office and F&B management systems.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on achieving results.
  8. Certification in food safety and sanitation is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  1. Experience in a specific F&B sector, such as restaurants, hotels, or catering, may be required.
  2. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  3. Ability to travel occasionally for business purposes.
