The Return-to-Work (RTW) Manager will manage and work alongside their team to support clients with acquired physical disabilities in their journey to find meaningful and suitable employment opportunities. He/She will provide their team with guidance on how to effectively communicate, establish attainable goals, and utilize tools such as skill assessments to understand the client’s path from rehabilitation to training to job application.
Responsibilities include leading the RTW team that collaborates closely with the rest of the Integrated Services team, Case Management, other cross-functional ABLE colleagues and key external stakeholders, to devise and deliver best-in-class RTW programmes for ABLE’s clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and develop ABLE’s RTW services, ensuring the programme is current and fit-for-purpose for both ABLE’s clients and potential employers.
· Collaborate closely with colleagues, particularly in Integrated Services, as part of a multi-disciplinary team to address the employment, training, job placement and related support services for clients.
· Work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to support Inclusive Employer initiatives, including actively engaging potential employers to secure job opportunities for clients.
· Proactively conduct job searches and liaise with employers on potential job opportunities for clients.
· Support clients in the job placement process, including workplace assessment, employment negotiation and job fit analysis.
· Where appropriate, recommend suitable training for clients to improve their employability
· Provide job coaching such as pre-employment preparation, on-the-job training and job hardening, helping to establish a support network for clients.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and employer information.
· Provide guidance and training for the RTW team by defining goals, communicating objectives, monitoring team performance, and any new process that affects the team directly/indirectly
· Generate, understand, and communicate the defined metrics for success to the RTW team.
· Work with ABLE’s Integrated Services (IS) Head to develop longer term strategic plans, budgets and manpower allocation based on department needs, alignment of processes, procedures, and policies.
· Work with IS Head and Case Management to provide service recovery for client complaints.
· Any other duties as assigned by the IS Head as and when necessary.
Requirements:
· Diploma/Degree holder, preferably in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or related disciplines.
· At least 2 years of experience in relationship management, customer service, career coaching or vocational counselling will be an advantage.
· A strong team player with initiative, adaptable and able to multitask.
· Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams will be an advantage.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
· Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and resources related to disability rights, workplace accommodations.
· Understanding of disability management principles and practices is beneficial.
· Proficient in computer skills including MS Office, Dynamics.
· Sensitivity and patience to work with individuals with acquired physical disabilities.
· Innovative, resourceful with good programme development and project management skills.
