Job Description - Account Assistant
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual with 2 years of experience in accounting to join our team as an Account Assistant. As an Account Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance and accounting department in various tasks, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining financial records and general ledger entries.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial reports.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Handle vendor inquiries and resolve any payment discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursement.
- Support the finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
