Manager, Facilities & Safety

Primary Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager, Facilities & Safety will manage the general upkeep of all Guild Houses including implementing preventive maintenance programs, cost control programs and productivity projects, administer lease/contract renewals and support any initiatives relating to facilities expansion/enhancement.

Main Responsibilities

1. Co-ordinate and manage the development of new facility or renovations within the Guild Houses
2. Manage all maintenance, housekeeping and security activities, and sub-contractors
3. Evaluate and update all mechanical specifications and operations manuals on a regular basis
4. Administer the leases of the Guild Houses and maintenance contracts to ensure timely renewals or terminations
5. Ensure full compliance to legal and corporate regulations of safety and security including fire safety regulations
6. Drive the Workplace Safety and Health Committee to comply with MOM requirements
7. Plan and manage the annual budget to ensure cost effectiveness in all initiatives and programs
8. Support Management Committee, Sub-committee(s), Panel(s) and or Task Force(s) as may be assigned.

Requirements

1. At least a Diploma with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
2. Possess a Fire Safety Manager (FSM) Certificate
3. Strong technical skills and excellent communication skills
4. A team player with excellent leadership, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
