Description:
- Coordinate and develop building and infrastructure concept plans and pre-consult relevant authorities/agencies
- Engage, consult and seek relevant authorities for possible services diversion, if any, and prepare technical scope to seek budget approval to engage service provider to conduct the work
- Identify, manage and supervise relevant front-end site preparatory works which include soil investigations, site investigations, earthwork etc.
- To prepare the overall schedule for the building and/or infrastructure works
- To manage and supervise the building or land infrastructure work and ensure the work is on time
- To provide solutions and/or catch-up plan in the event of a delay in project
- To advise and provide information of the building and/or infrastructure works for allocation of space and land
- Coordinate the design work within JTC and/or with consultants
- To prepare, coordinate and collate tender documents and/or quotation documents for calling tenders and/or quotations for building and/or infrastructure related works to support the projects (eg. Soil Instrumentation, Accredited Checker, etc)
- Prepare capital expenditure for the calling of construction tender and/or related works
- Coordinate and support value management activities, tender and quotation activities and construction management of project until completion of project
- To assist in payments for the developments
- Review the preliminary and detailed design and documents of projects assigned by SO and/ or JTC management and/or appointed Reporting Officer (RO)
- Provide technical support and advice to JTC’s business clusters and companies for the building and infrastructure projects in construction and defects liability stages
- Check on and comment on planning and technical submissions to the authorities, service providers and etc., and ensure approvals are obtained for the developments
- Familiar with Engineering software such as AutoCad and BIM and able to conduct BIM review. Communicate with consultants’ BIM coordinators to improve and refine BIM execution plan
- Manage the design process using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise
- Support, understand and advise the SO and/ or JTC management and/or appointed RO as to the requirements and obligations in the development of a building and/or infrastructure design
- Ensure the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice where appropriate
- Ensure design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales
- Strive to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction
- Prepare presentation materials for purpose of briefing management. Ability to present ideas effectively is essential.
Qualification:
- Preferably at least 2 years of design/project management experience for infrastructure and building projects
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant Architectural
- Qualification recognized by the Professionals Boards (BOA/PEB) and/or accreditation recognized by the Professionals Boards
- Familiar with local Building and Infrastructure projects, with at least 2 years of local experience
- Familiar with Engineering software such as AutoCad and BIM and able to conduct BIM review. Communicate with consultants’ BIM coordinators to improve and refine BIM execution plan
- Familiar with 3D-modelling software such as Google Sketch-up, 3Dmax, or Rhino. Develop 3D models for concept design and visualisation purposes
