Job Description for Temporary PA to Permanent PT (PAPT Program)
Position Details
Position: Temp PA to Perm PA to PT (PAPT Program) x10
Location: Outpatient Pharmacy
Initial Contract: 2 to 3 months temporary position at $12/hr
Progression: After the temporary period, based on good performance and candidate's interest in pursuing the PT track, the role will convert to a 1-year contract as a Permanent PA. The candidate will be sent for a PT course while continuing to work. Upon graduation, the candidate will transition to a PT role.
Commitment: The PAPT program spans 2 to 3 years until graduation and commencement of the PT role. Candidates must demonstrate commitment during the interview.
Working Hours
- Normal Shift: Any 5 days a week, Monday to Friday with a 1-hour break, subject to manpower needs as advised by the Supervisor.
Shift Timings (determined by Supervisor):8:30 AM to 5:30 PM / 6:00 PM
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM / 6:30 PM
9:30 AM to 6:00 PM / 6:30 PM
Meal Break: 1-hour
Additional Requirement: May need to work half-day on Saturdays when manpower is needed, with the same payment rate.
- 10:45 AM Shift: Once or twice a month for a duration of 1 weekWorking Hours: 10:45 AM to 8:15 PM (8.5 hours/day)
Break Times:Lunch: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (45 minutes)
Dinner: 5:45 PM to 6:15 PM (30 minutes)
Job Scope and Program Overview
- Temporary PA Phase (2 to 3 months):Work in the outpatient pharmacy under supervision.
Assist with daily tasks and learn the workflow of the pharmacy.
- Permanent PA Phase (1 year contract):Based on performance and interest, transition to a permanent PA role.
Enroll in a PT course sponsored by the employer.
Continue working in the outpatient pharmacy while undergoing training.
- PT Phase (Post-graduation):Upon successful completion of the PT course, transition to a PT role.
Demonstrate commitment to the role and continue professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Commitment: Willingness to commit to the entire PAPT program duration (2 to 3 years).
- Availability: Flexible to work various shifts as per the needs of the outpatient pharmacy.
- Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability: Able to adapt to different working hours and tasks as required by the Supervisor.
