Job Description
- Assist HoD for IFRS17 financial reporting to obtain PwC’s sign off on IFRS17 financial statements.
- Produce IFRS17 transition opening balance including liability reconciliation and Fair Value Approach/CSM calculations.
- Prepare IFRS17 methodology paper based on local business environment.
- Work with FRS production team on the IFRS17 2022 comparative and 2023 financial statements, followed by 2024 quarterly reporting.
- Support HoD in performing management assessments on reasonableness of IFRS17 results, including performing liability, CSM and profit movement and forecast analyses.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to meet IFRS17 deadlines and the preparation of IFRS17 quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Work with Actuarial Pricing and provide feedback to implement IFRS17 in pricing. Support HoD in reviewing the analysis of Significant Insurance Tests and liability liquidity assessments done by Actuarial Pricing team for new products.
- Implement enhancements and best practices to shorten the IFRS17 financial reporting time needed for quarter-end and annual reporting cycles.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent.
- Good progress in actuarial professional exams.
- Possesses solid IFRS17 knowledge and experience in implementing IFRS17.
- Working knowledge on CSM related engine and Prophet will be an advantage.
- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments.
