Cloud Operations Engineer
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday
- Working Location: Central
- Remuneration package: Up to $8.5k + AWS
We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Engineer to support Azure Cloud operations, assist in cloud migration, and contribute to change implementation.
What to Expect:
- Responsible for day-to-day user support and administration of cloud services.
- Provide incident management, follow-up with problem resolution and regular communication with customers on open cases.
- Perform operational support and maintenance for the platforms to ensure maximum possible service availability and performance.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot new or existing platforms, including operating systems, storage devices, server applications, network equipment, etc.
- Perform routine server maintenance tasks, such as monitoring performance, checking logs, updating software, installing patches, etc.
- Perform major and minor product upgrades.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to evaluate and identify solutions and improvement plans.
- Coordinate with vendors where cloud and virtualization specific issues need to be escalated.
- Ensure the operational processes are documented and complies with audit requirements.
As an Operations Engineer, you need to bring to the team:
- At least 3 years of working experience in IT operations.
- Hands-on experience in Azure cloud platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Familiar with change management and incident management workflows, using ITSM tools to manage workflows.
- Experience with Terraform and scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is preferred.
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker / Kubernetes.
- Knowledge in cloud monitoring and logging.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, system backup and restore.
- Knowledge in Linux server (Redhat / Ubuntu) hardening.
- Strong customer focus and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, team player mentality.
- AWS / Azure certifications are a plus.
