Award-winning medical device startup (GyroGear.co) has a single opening for an experienced VP for Operations at our Singapore office. We are developing intelligent wearable devices to stabilise hand tremors for 200 million people globally.
The candidate must be able to effectively understand and address the needs and problems, and to do so with a small and focused team operating in a driven startup environment. The ultimate objective is to deliver a commercially successful GyroGlove within the coming year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an VP for Operations whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Shaping Operational Strategy: Craft and execute operational plans aligned with GyroGear's growth objectives. Oversee daily operations, prioritizing efficiency, productivity, and quality. Mitigate risks and ensure unwavering regulatory compliance.
- Building a High-Performing Team: Lead, mentor, and empower your team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement where everyone thrives.
- Optimizing for Growth: Analyze and refine operational processes for peak efficiency and scalability. Implement best practices and standardize procedures across all functions.
- Financial Acumen: Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Leverage data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Supply Chain Mastery: Oversee supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, and distribution. Forge and nurture relationships with key suppliers and partners.
- Unwavering Quality: Champion exceptional quality and safety standards for all products. Implement robust quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Project Leadership: Drive operational excellence by leading and managing cross-functional projects. Collaborate seamlessly with other departments for flawless project execution.
- Stakeholder Champion: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring operations align with business goals. Represent the operations function in executive meetings and strategic planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a similar field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record scaling operations in a fast-growing healthcare or technology company (engineering background preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management expertise.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma a plus).
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and quality standards (advantageous).
- A passion for thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
