FINANCE LEAD (Startup)

Ever year >1.3 million people die from antibiotic resistant bacteria, yet >80% of antibiotics are used in livestock agriculture instead of people. But banning agriculture antibiotic use makes farming less resource efficient and more cruel to the animals that are been grown without protection from disease. Peptobiotics has developed a new class of synthetic biology livestock feed additives that can replace the use of antibiotics without causing resistance or leaving residues. Series A funded startup with synbio products that work in multiple animal trials and are economically viable to manufacture. Challenging job scope that will grow with the company – the finance lead will cover accounting, compliance, handling payments from international customers and assisting with company capital raises.
OBJECTIVES
- Monthly accounting (including coordination with accounting service), salaries, tax, purchases, budgeting and optimisation of expenditure.
- Management of customer payment system and optimisation of working capital across Singapore and subsidiary countries. Handling of receipt of international payments and taxation.
- Preparation of material for investors and attending investor meetings where required.
- Managing reporting and compliance requirements.
- Major purchase planning and approvals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Financial controller experience or similar
- Prior startup experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting is preferred.

- Detail orientated and curious – we are looking for people who can operate across multiple compliance geographies and are curious enough to question processes – and implement something better where there is room for improvement.
