The IT Asset Administrator will be responsible for managing and tracking the organization’s IT assets. This includes maintaining accurate records of hardware and software assets, monitoring their location and condition, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The role involves conducting regular audits, assisting with the procurement and disposal of IT assets, and managing inventory processes. The IT Asset Administrator will work closely with other departments to ensure optimal utilization and management of IT resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the IT asset database with accurate information
- Track the lifecycle of IT assets from acquisition to disposal
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Monitor asset conditions and perform regular inspections
- Assist in procurement processes, including vendor selection and negotiations
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure efficient asset management
- Handle the disposal of obsolete or damaged IT assets in compliance with regulations
- Generate reports on asset status, usage, and lifecycle for management review
- Provide support in managing software licenses and ensuring compliance
- Assist in the development and implementation of asset management policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in IT asset management or a similar role
- Knowledge of IT hardware and software, including asset tracking systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., ITIL, IAITAM) is a plus
