Multinational Program Specialist

Job Purpose / Role:

Build strong relationships and proactive engagement with Clients, Brokers, and Underwriters. Be the focal contact point for all services relating to Multinational Program. Perform front-to-end activities for Multinational accounts prospect, submission, renewal to expiration. Attend client/broker meetings and support Allianz Commercial business development activities, including presenting and demonstrating our global capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for multinational insurance programs & policies of medium to high complexity (i.e., complex reinsurance panels). Review and interpret source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information - including broker presentation, slips, underwriting files and accounts / claims experience – and if required, escalation to UW in case of missing information.
  • In case of AZ multinational programs, provide recommendations to UW on program structure (i.e., Deal support), steering of implementation globally, including providing instructions to all involved SOEs, reconciliation of all issues and addressing questions regarding cover and wording with UW. Ensure all local policies are issued in a timely fashion and client expectations are met.
  • Ability to handle new business multinational submissions independently and ensure smooth a smooth program implementation for our brokers and clients.
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers, including Underwriting, Accounts / Credit Control, Reinsurance Accounts, Clients, and Brokers and attend relevant internal and external meetings. Regular and extensive exchange with clients regarding all account specific matters
  • Acting as mentor / trainer for new joiners.
  • Using all relevant information to populate IT system(s) accurately and efficiently with new and renewed business. Invoice customers and produce all relevant documentation, e.g., policies, certificates, endorsements to broker (or client), co-insurers, captives, and re-insurers. Compiling of standard and non-standard policy wordings. Regular reconciliation and discussion of content with UW and broker/customer.
  • Chase and reconcile premiums exploiting underwriting file and system entries in close collaboration with Credit Control. Liaise with brokers and/or Underwriters, to ensure timely premium payment. Coordinates premium chasing and reconciliation activities. Work directly with brokers on a daily basis and ensure a high level of multinational client services is provided.
  • Contribute to projects and as ad-hoc request as required.

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills:

  • Experience in working in an international environment.
  • 3 to 5 years prior working in insurance, reinsurance or broking industry.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent knowledge Microsoft Office applications and experience of relevant business applications and systems.
  • Ability to continuously develop technical and systems knowledge, business, and insurance understanding.
  • Good understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages.
  • Advanced understanding of policy administration life cycle, including information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation.

General Skills

  • Communication Skills – verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Task Planning – time management skills and experience of scheduling tasks in accordance with daily review of priorities.
  • Ability to motivate others; effective team player, training and coaching of staff.

Education / Certification

  • Completion of a recognized insurance qualification (or equivalent in the Financial sector).

Languages

  • English – Fluent (able to negotiate).
