Persolkelly is seeking a Database Administrator to join our client, a distinguished service provider specializing in IT infrastructure management and transformation services.
As the Database Administrator, you will responsible for overseeing database administration, ensuring smooth operations through backups and performance tuning, participating in upgrades and security implementations, maintaining documentation, and providing technical guidance
Responsibilities
- Oversee database administration, including configuration, installation, and support.
- Ensure smooth database operation by managing backup, restoration, and performance tuning.
- Participate in database upgrades, security implementations, and server migration as needed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including procedures and guidelines.
- Offer technical guidance to application teams on database technologies.
- Assist in resolving complex database incidents and determining root causes.
- Provide support during regular and off-hours, including on-call attendance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Linux-based database administration.
- Proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based database services, particularly AWS RDS.
- Expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB administration.
- Skilled in database architecture design, installation, migration, and upgrades
