Job functions
· Reporting to Engineering Assistant, Facility Supervisor and Facility Engineer to receive assignments, instructions and guidance on maintenance tasks and projects.
· Perform routine maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs on facility equipment such as HVAC systems, cold room, boilers, cooling tower, lighting, electrical systems and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
· Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functioning and minimize downtime.
· Conducting regular inspections of equipment, identifying maintenance needs and proactively addressing potential issues.
· Assisting in installation, calibration and testing of new equipment under the direction of the Facility Engineer and Facility Supervisor.
· Adhering to safety protocols, standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements while performing maintenance activities.
· Documenting maintenance activities, equipment status and inventory of spare parts for effective record and inventory management.
· Communicate effectively with Engineering Assistants, Facility Supervisor and Facility Engineer and other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.
· Respond to and execute work orders. Complete work orders efficiently and effectively.
Pre-requisites:
· Possess minimum NITEC in electrical engineering or equivalent
· Good knowledge of electrical wiring and refrigeration system
· Able to troubleshoot air con and cold room system
· Able to do welding and brazing
· Minimum 2 years of experience in working with refrigeration system
