Description of the Roles:
As a key member of the software team, you will work in a cross functional environment, delivering new and innovative technical solutions for state-of-the-art medical product intended for surgical and therapeutic applications. You will play a critical role in projects developing new medical systems integrating advanced user interface, diagnostic imaging, visualization, real-time communication, and machine learning technologies.
Specifically, you will involve from creating software concept, distributed system software architecture design, implementation of functions, and verifications to various stage of clinical trials to validate the functionality, usability, and quality of the product following medical software development process. You will be working on R&D of highly integrated surgical robotic system with software to interact with users in intuitive way, control the robotic, communicate and manage various data flow, interface with various peripherals devices and sensors together with low level driver and RTOS support.
The challenge for you is to successfully develop and integrate software functionalities together with the engineering and product teams using the best technology possible, toachieve an efficient operation and interaction, as well as safe product for the clinicians.
Required Qualifications
Masters, or bachelor’s degree in computer sciences/engineering or electrical engineering.
Fresh graduates are welcome.
At least 5 years’ experiences in C/C++ programming language, Qt framework, Vulkan, GUI, 2D/3D visualization, image acquisition/processing/transmission.
Experienced in product quality software application development, verification, and deployment.
Familiar with common hardware interfaces such as i2c, SPI, RS-232, Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN Bus, USB, RFID, GPIO.
Familiar with Windows/Linux system programming, drivers and RTOS is preferred.
Experience in software optimization to achieve low latency response is an advantage.
Knowledge of robotic control, motor control or sensors is added advantages but not must.

Responsibilities
- Work with cross functional team on detailed application software programming and test plan at product level, sub-systems, modules, and components level.
- Support and review critical technical development related to application software.
- Perform feasibility study on conceptual design.
- Ensure the software functions meet user needs, and smooth transition from prototype phase to release phase.
- Perform analytical studies, risk assessment, software verification and validation.
- Oversee and co-ordinate software development and integration locally or with overseas partners.
Ensure proper documentation (design history file) and communication with internal and external suppliers, in compliance with quality management system and regulatory standards requirements.
