Senior Security Specialist

The Senior Security Specialist, SG (SSS) will be the focal point for all security related activities and incident response for Dyson’s premises and operations within SG. The position support/lead the Security Operations Team (including all security workforce) in securing all Dyson’s premises within SG that includes all research and development, manufacturing, and corporate offices. The role will necessarily require the individual to actively monitor emerging and existing threats to the business and to realise Group Security strategic programs and processes within SG to mitigate those threats. The SSS also coordinates support, whenever necessary, from other areas of Dyson Group Security (including Security Training, Insider Risk, Information Security, Profit Protection and Technical Security).


The qualified candidate will report directly to the Country Security Manager, SG.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage & optimize the security operation in the facility.
  • Audit & Inspection for facility security.
  • Conduct surveillance on security/safety violations, suspicious activities or persons on the premises.
  • Perform regular perimeter checks and patrols.
  • Operate and maintain security control equipment.
  • Maintain logs and records of occurrences, submit incident reports where necessary.
  • Preparation and filing of documents in relation to security services provided.
  • Manage & Coordinate with Security service companies (Subcontractor), where needed.
  • Manage safety works for company and subcontractor.
  • Any other adhoc duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to lead team/s in a manufacturing and non-manufacturing environment.
  • Develops security-based performance reports covering Dyson’s main SG premises that contain key performance indicators to support the activity.
  • Accountable for all SG sites Major Incident Management planning/training, providing leadership during major incidents.
  • Duties may vary and not limited to the above.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of operating effectively in a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Subject matter expertise in physical security systems and technology, to include surveillance/detection systems, access control systems, control room environments, alarm monitoring, counter surveillance, drone technology, radio procedures.
  • Proven experience with intellectual asset protection / security related area.
  • Demonstrable work experience in global, multi-national organization.
  • Security service knowledge with hands-on experiences.
  • Proven experience in Security service management in a large-scale facility (Minimum 5 years of experience in related field).
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Able to perform shift work, work on weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Skills for setting up standard operation procedures.
  • Experience for security control in VIP visiting, large scale ceremony and events.
