Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to menu specifications and recipes.
- Ensure that all food products meet quality and safety standards, including proper storage and handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Collaborate with other floor and bar staff to coordinate food preparation and service during peak hours.
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Follow food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses, including quickly responding to spills and other health and safety hazards
- Communicate effectively with servers and bartenders to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a bar or nightclub setting.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic culinary skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with coworkers.
