Job Description:
Transfer Pricing
Formulate new or improve existing processes to align various internal stakeholders to meet Transfer Pricing guidelines and requirements. This includes engaging and managing external TP consultants to determine appropriate:
1) IntraGroup selling prices of products.
2) IntraGroup interest rates for loans & borrowings.
3) IntraGroup cross charging of management fees and royalties etc.
4) All other IntraGroup transactions.
The role is required to lead the preparation and coordination of all transfer pricing documentation at the group level and at each local entity level (Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand/China).
Direct and Indirect tax
· Monitor local tax regulations in all relevant markets including any upcoming changes.
· Proactive coverage of interfaces between various markets to ensure alignment with Corporate Tax rules and requirements.
· Assist in coordinating appropriate responses to tax audits in any markets.
Tax planning and tax advisory
· To provide recommendations to stakeholders on any businesses that may have tax implications depending on the options chosen and propose mitigation plan/other options, if any.
· To provide tax advice and support to stakeholders to effectively manage potential tax exposure/ disputes
· To propose and lead optimization projects to balance business and tax efficiency.
· Optimization of Transfer Pricing between Corporate Taxes and Custom Duties within regulatory parameters to achieve the best financial outcome.
· Minimizing Corporate & Withholding Taxes during the structuring of IntraGroup Loans, Royalties, Management Fees and Dividends.
· Formulate approaches or processes to determine appropriate inputs relating to corporate taxes for any expansion into new markets or special projects.
Other responsibilities
· In charge of the company ESG report.
· Be the single point of contact for EDB and help identify support scheme for the company
· Manage the dormant entities.
Job Requirements:
• Degree in accountancy or taxation.
• Certified CPA / Chartered Accountant is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of tax experience in public accounting firm (Big four preferred).
• Good working knowledge of Singapore taxation and International tax knowledge.
• Strong technical knowledge of direct / indirect taxes and transfer pricing regulations.
• Outstanding conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a high energy level.
• Ability to be proactive and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Able to work both independently and as a team player.
• Versatile, be able to think and navigate quickly and possess a strong analytical mind to focus on core issues.
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
