Finance Manager
Location: Based in our Bukit Merah saleroom
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday (40 hours, over 5 days)
Salary: $5,000 to $7,500 per month, dependant on experience

We are a busy auction house in Singapore, holding 40+ online auctions each year.
Our auctions cover a wide spectrum of specialisms including Interiors & Collectibles, Jewellery & Watches and Asian Ceramics & Works of Art.
We operate a hybrid 'bricks and clicks' business model; so we physically ‘take in’ all items that we sell and exhibit them in our saleroom, however all bidding is conducted online.
Why are we recruiting for this role?
Our current Finance Manager is leaving us after three years so we are looking to recruit a new accountant to manage our finance function. Your office will be located in our saleroom and you will join a friendly team of 9 including staff in valuation, operations and administration roles.
If you join us as our Finance Manager, what might the role look like day to day?
Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day operational financial activities, including issuing auction invoices to winning bidders and preparing settlements for vendors
- Attend to ad hoc operational finance queries from clients and colleagues
- Manage AR issues (this is minimal)
- Process non trade invoices
- Ensure timely preparation & submission of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
- Manage income tax, GST and all other tax compliance
- Ensure compliance with industry standard AML regulations
- Prepare monthly payroll and CPF payment processing
- Manage general HR tasks, including employement pass applications/renewals, annual leave and medical leave records
- Liaise with external stakeholders including our accountants (PWC) government agencies, licencing authorities, auditors and banking partners
Requirements
- Two years’ experience in a financial/ accounting environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; CPA/ CA is desirable
- Technically strong in SFRS and related accounting regulations
- Interest in working for a growing SME is desirable
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and commitment to the role
- Good written and spoken communication skills; you’ll be adept at managing relationships with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders. Chinese language skills are desirable but not essential
- Digital competency; we constantly invest in new technological solutions to create efficiencies. You must be comfortable with using technology
- Proficiency in MS Office and financial software. We use Xero and Stripe
